Dear Parents and Carers,
We have found a couple of schemes that are aimed at supporting parents and guardians during the summer holidays. They are certainly worth looking into if you want to save money and/or need childcare for July and August.
Your Holiday Hub Bristol have free and paid for holiday clubs that are available across Bristol, so check out their website or give them an email if you would like some more information or would like to book a holiday club. They have sport camps, adventure playgrounds and drama clubs, and the clubs run for the whole of the summer holidays.
The website is https://www.yourholidayhubbristol.co.uk/ and the email address is olivia.procter-moore@bristol.gov.uk.
To help support families with food costs over summer, Bristol Post have compiled a list of free and cheap offers from different companies. Follow the link if you would like to read all of the offers but the best ones are:
- ASDA – Children in England and Wales can eat for £1 in Asda cafes, with no minimum adult spend
- IKEA – kids can enjoy any meal from the children’s menu for 95p, or it’s £1.50 for a combination meal which includes one hot meal, jelly, a soft drink and a piece of fruit.
- Morrisons – Spend £4.99 or more on an adult meal and get a free meal from the kids’ menu.
- Bella Italia – Children eat for £1 with the purchase of every adult main from 4pm to 6pm, Monday to Thursday.
