North Star Academy staff role changes

Dear Parents and Carers
Since becoming an academy trust on 1st January we have been looking at roles of
staff in relation to new developments, and in particular the building and opening of
our third provision, an Alternative Learning Provision based in Sea Mills.
As a result there will be some temporary changes. I will move to the role of School
Improvement Lead across the trust. Jilly Garland will act as Head of School at North
Star 82o
(Woodstock) and Charlotte Wilkinson will step into the role of Head of Key
Stages. We have also welcomed Eion Gibney into a teaching role in Hazel Class.
All of these staff, in their new roles, will continue to welcome communication from
you.
It’s been great seeing all children starting to return in Term 4. We are very pleased
that our attendance has been above the national average for special schools all
through the pandemic and hope that it will continue in this way for the remainder of
the school year.
