Dear Parents and Carers,
As the end of the academic year draws to end, we can reflect on all the things that we have achieved this year. The COVID pandemic has put
a limit on some of things that we have been able to do at North Star 82°, but that has not stopped our pupils from persevering and doing incredibly well.
We have celebrated things such as World Oceans Day and World Refugee Day in our Monday assemblies, producing some superb work on minimising plastic pollution. For Art Week this term, all classes created the most beautiful Art work, focussing on several famous artists. It has been lovely to see this up in the classrooms.
We have had several new pupils join our school the last couple of terms and we are really proud of how well they have settled in. We look forward to welcoming more new pupils in September.
This term we are sadly saying goodbye to a few members of staff. Mr Matthews is retiring after 26 years of teaching with us! We wish him the most relaxing and enjoyable retirement. We are also saying goodbye to Miss Cooksley, Ms Rios, Mr Rostadakis and Ms Harris, who are all moving on to new adventures. We wish you all the best of luck, you will be missed.
It is the time of year when we say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6s. This year we have 16 pupils moving on to Secondary School, all very excited about their new journey ahead. We have no doubt that they will continue to do stupendously well in their new schools and we wish them the very best of luck. Please do keep in touch.
We wish you and your family a restful and peaceful Summer and look forward to seeing you in September.
Best Wishes,
Jilly Garland
