World Book Day

Dear Parents and Carers

This year, we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March. We will be arranging lots of exciting reading themed activities across the week, including a scavenger hunt competition!

Additionally, children may dress up as a book character for the day if they wish. If not dressing up, children should be wearing their full school uniform. We would love to see homemade costumes and do not expect parents to go to the expense of buying new costumes.

There will be competitions for personal best work, inventive costume ideas and excellent independent reading throughout the week. Children are encouraged to bring their favourite book into class and share stories with others (this is possible with school books as well).

Please do not hesitate to contact me or your child’s tutor team if you have any questions about World Book Day or any aspects of the English curriculum delivered.

Yours sincerely

Miss Charlotte Wilkinson

Interim Deputy Head
